As I mentioned the other day, we took a little road trip on our mini vacation the other day. We decided to take our wheels and get outta dodge. After doing some research on B&B's / Inns within a two-ish hour drive from our awesome homebase of NYC, we settled on The Villa at Saugerties for our midweek getaway. You can find a link to a recent post I did displaying the room that we stayed in, The Studio, at the Villa at Saugerties here.
When you look at the photograph of this room, if you feel comfortable with its minimalist style, you will likely think to yourself, "WoW! Very nice!"...and you wouldn't be wrong. In fact, what you would find upon arriving is that it's better looking in person than the photograph can portray. It's a shame that a number of the key elements of the room are not on display in the photograph. But, since you have me, you get to see them first hand here on my blog.
First, the bathroom.

I know it's only a bathroom, but with it's sleek pedestal sink and the PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE, it's double width walk in concrete shower room with overhead 10" rain style shower head and built in bench and skylight...need I say more.
Well, I will, but you have to stay tuned.
